The Bichon Frise

The Bichon Frise is a great companion dog for the family that likes to bring their dog everywhere. The curly hair is hypo allergenic and the dog has a sweet and loving temperment.

Description
This fluffy dog looks like a teddy bear and will steal your heart! The double coat is a textured outer layer and silky undercoat. Coat can be long or clipped like a poodle. He has long furry ears and a curly tail that curves over the back.

Size
The Bichon Frise should weight between 7 and 12 pounds and stand 9 to 12 inches high.

Color
Typically all white, but some cream, gray and apricot hairs are seen as well.

Origin
This breed is a cross between the poodle and Barbet Water Spaniel and dates back to the 14th century.

Temperament
This dog is smart and affectionate - it loves human companionship yet is also independent. This happy sociable breed typically gets along great with other pets and children.

Training
Very smart and easy to train.

Living Conditions
Can be good indoor dogs but they are active and will needs walks and play time.
