The Miniature Schnauzer is a lively and intelligent pet that will make a great watchdog.

Description
This dog has a prominent beard, eyebrows and mustache with V shaped ears that fold forward. Ears may also be cropped and tail is usually docked.

Size
Weighs 10 - 15 pound and is 12 - 14 inches tall

Color
Comes in Black, White, Salt & Pepper.

Origin
This German breed was developed from the Standard Schnauzer and the Affenpinscher and was once used as a ratter.

Temperament
Perky and intelligent this dog can be a bit aggressive but is affectionate to his family and a playful pet.

Training
Can do well in obedience trials and performing tricks. It is recommended to socialize this dog with other dogs when he is young.

Living Conditions
Good apartment dog, active indoors.
