The Pug

The Pug is a great companion dog and is very well natured. He is lively and intelligent - a great family dog that gets along well with other pets.

Description
This compact dog has short fur and a wrinly face with a compact, heavy set body and curly tail.

Size
The Pug is 13 to 20 pounds and 12-14 inches tall.

Color
Black muzzle with body colors of black, fawn apricot, tan or silver.

Origin
Thought to have originated in Asia as far back as 400 BC.

Temperament
A most loving breed, they can be lively and affectionate with a great disposition.

Training
Easy to train but can be sensitive to harsh yelling so always use positive reinforcement. Very smart.

Living Conditions
Fairly inactive this is a good apartment dog. Sensitive to extreme temperatures so protect from harsh weather both cold and hot.
